Congratulations President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris! Amy Friedman, author, writing teacher and prison rights activist joins Mark to discuss her paramount role as Co-founder and Executive Director of POPS (Pain of the Prison System), a school based program that originated in Venice California that provides a safe and supportive space for students with an imprisoned sibling or parent.  Students are encouraged to share feelings and to support each other in recognizing their strength and resilience.  Astoundingly, nearly 3 million children in the U.S. have at least one parent in prison and which underscores the need of POPS and the program’s success is demonstrated by the 17 clubs in 5 states that host this unique and impressive program.
