INSURRECTION REVERBERATIONS & THE NEW YEAR NOW WHAT?
Alex Hinton is a ddistinguished Professor of Anthropology, Director of the Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights at Rutgers University and UNESCO Chair on Genocide Prevention and is an expert on genocide and he joins Mark to discuss his new book “It Can Happen Here – White Power and the Rising Threat of Genocide in the US”. Hinton argues that assumptions about American democracy and diversity have obscured a hard fact: white supremacy has been woven into the fabric of the United States since its founding and persists, creating the potential for oppression, brutality, and even mass murder today.
